The first Gotta Move session with Mariane Karou, introducing one of the foundational movement forms of the Dance Alive system. You begin by dropping in — becoming fully present so you can feel, honestly and without judgment, where your body is already open and moving, and where it has gone still or numb. From there, you learn to initiate movement in two directions: following the pathways that are already flowing and open, and consciously choosing to move where you are not moving, interrupting your automatic patterns before they repeat. The practice builds presence, responsiveness, and the capacity to find new possibilities in any situation — in your body and in your life.
