A Ride the Wave class with Tierra Karou working through the armpits — the pivotal crevice where shoulder, chest, and back meet, and where, when it opens, the heart's energy can finally flow into the hands and into everything you do. You warm up through the hips and pelvic floor, then settle attention into the armpits: breathing there, moving through the underarm, opening the shoulders and upper back.
The session holds a dual theme of opening and engaging — receptivity and power working together. Power-up asks you to press, pull, and engage through the armpits, chest, and back while staying spacious, building what Tierra calls the key to sustainable movement: an open, engaged container. The wave crashes through inner thighs, glutes, and spine before a dance-party integration, and the closing returns to the back body as the place of unwinding, receiving, and finding your own back.
