A Ride the Wave teaching on the art of moving with a partner — how to stay rooted in yourself while genuinely meeting another body. The first principle: drop into yourself before you drop into the partnership. You are not leaving yourself to join someone else; you are bringing yourself more fully so there is actually something to offer. From that place you learn to distinguish the listener from the speaker, the mover from the assister, and how to clarify whose turn it is — both in partnering and in life.
You practice following your partner's rhythm rather than imposing your own, giving and receiving clear feedback, and letting go of the idea that you should already know what your partner needs. The session models a genuine learning culture: not knowing is the starting point, and asking is the skill.
