A Ride the Wave class with Tierra Karou centered on the spine as the axis of leadership, life force, and team play. After waking up the whole body and setting your intention, you drop into your feet to receive the earth and ground your presence. From there, attention moves into the spine — feeling it as your pillar, breathing into it from the tailbone to the base of the skull — and a small ripple of movement begins to build, organically, the way an ocean wave builds: without skipping steps, without rushing.
You then partner with another person, using touch on the spine to go deeper in and expand further out, opening new pathways through your whole back body. The class builds to full-body movement with your team — spine alive, legs engaged — practicing giving your energy and receiving your team at the same time.
