A Ride the Wave class with Tierra Karou focused on contact and fluid intelligence, moving through the feet, knees, and hips. You begin by feeling your contact with the earth through your feet — these are your roots, and the deeper you press in, the more freely the rest of your body can open. From there, attention moves into the knees, awakening their full three-hundred-sixty-degree range of possibility, before settling into the hips with a practice of fluid initiation: squeeze, engage, and then let go to ride the wave of energy you've just built.
The session includes partnering through the back, where you discover how grounding through your lower belly and legs lets you meet another fully without losing yourself. You finish with a dance party where you lead yourself — sensing exactly what kind of movement you need and giving it to yourself.
