Your trial date and your existing membership
When you move from Ride The Wave or Inner Rhythms, your free-trial window matches your existing subscription. Here is how it works.
Last updated
When you move over from Ride The Wave or Inner Rhythms, your Dance Alive trial doesn't start over — it picks up where your existing subscription left off. The day your old subscription would have renewed is the day Dance Alive charges your card for the first time.
Why we do it this way
You already paid for those days on your previous site. Charging you again on day one of Dance Alive would mean paying twice for the same coverage. So instead, your trial ends exactly when your existing subscription ends — no overlap, no double billing.
How the trial date is set
- At checkout, we look up your email against your existing Ride The Wave and Inner Rhythms subscriptions.
- If we find an active subscription, we set your Dance Alive trial-end to that subscription's renewal date.
- If you have BOTH subscriptions and pick All Access, your trial ends on the later of the two dates.
How it maps to the plan you pick
| If you currently have... | And you pick on Dance Alive... | Your trial ends... |
|---|---|---|
| Ride The Wave | Movement or All Access | Same day your existing subscription renews |
| Inner Rhythms | Meditation or All Access | Same day your existing subscription renews |
| Ride The Wave + Inner Rhythms | All Access | The later of the two renewal dates |
| Ride The Wave + Inner Rhythms | Movement only | Same day your Ride The Wave subscription renews |
| Ride The Wave + Inner Rhythms | Meditation only | Same day your Inner Rhythms subscription renews |
| Ride The Wave | Meditation (a switch) | Our standard new-member trial window |
| Inner Rhythms | Movement (a switch) | Our standard new-member trial window |
Why the switch case is different: if you change categories — from movement to meditation, or the other way — your old subscription doesn't apply to the new one. You start fresh with our standard trial.
What you'll see at checkout
When you reach the payment step, you'll see a banner confirming we recognized your existing subscription, along with the exact date your trial ends.
