Browser support and known issues
Recommended browsers, mobile quirks, and what to try if playback acts up.
Last updated
Dance Alive works in any modern browser. Quality is picked automatically based on your network speed — there is no manual quality control.
Recommended browsers
- Desktop — Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge, updated to the latest version
- iPhone and iPad — Safari (recommended) or Chrome
- Android — Chrome
iOS notes
- Use Safari if AirPlay matters to you — AirPlay is exposed via Safari's native fullscreen controls
- Inline playback works without forcing fullscreen — you can scroll a class into a small window
- On iOS older than 17, some advanced features may not work — update if you can
Android notes
- Chrome on Android 7+ is the smoothest path
- Older Android (5.x or 6.x) may struggle with the player — consider upgrading the device or using a different one for streaming
Common issues by browser
- Safari pop-up blocker — sign-in opens a Mindbody pop-up; if it doesn't appear, allow pop-ups for dancealive.com and retry
- Firefox + extensions — strict tracking-protection extensions occasionally break our player. Try disabling them on Dance Alive
- Chrome incognito / private mode — sign-in pop-ups can be blocked in private windows; switch to a regular window if you can't get past sign-in
What you don't get
- No native TV app (iOS, Android, Apple TV, Roku, Fire TV) — see Watching on your TV for the AirPlay path
- No Chromecast
- No manual playback quality control — the player adapts automatically
Browser version too old?
If you see a blank player or constant errors and you're on a very old browser version, the fastest fix is to update the browser to its current version.
