Watching on your TV
AirPlay from an iPhone or iPad to any AirPlay-compatible TV.
Last updated
The best way to get Dance Alive on a bigger screen today is AirPlay from an iPhone or iPad.
AirPlay from iOS
- Open Dance Alive in Safari on your iPhone or iPad
- Start playing a class
- Tap the screen to bring up the player, then tap the fullscreen icon
- While fullscreen, tap the AirPlay icon in the iOS native player controls
- Pick your Apple TV or AirPlay-compatible TV
Same Wi-Fi network on both devices is required.
Chromecast and Android
Chromecast is not currently supported. Android users get the best experience by watching on a tablet or laptop instead.
Native TV apps
There is no Dance Alive app for Apple TV, Roku, Fire TV, or similar set-top boxes today. AirPlay from iOS is the path.
Troubleshooting
- Cast icon doesn't appear — make sure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network, then restart both
- Picture stutters — move closer to your router or switch to a 5GHz Wi-Fi network if your router has one
- No sound on the TV — check the TV's input volume; AirPlay sends audio to the TV, not your phone
If you've tried all of the above and it still won't connect, contact us with your phone model and TV brand.
