Keeping your Mindbody and Dance Alive emails in sync
If class confirmation emails go to the wrong inbox, your two systems are out of sync. Here is how to fix it.

Dance Alive uses your Mindbody account for sign-in, which means your email lives in two places. Most of the time they match — but if you've changed an email recently, the two can drift apart.
Where each email is used
- Mindbody-sent emails (class confirmation, Zoom join link, drop-in receipts, workshop receipts) — sent to the email on your Mindbody profile
- Sign-in to Dance Alive — uses your Mindbody email at the moment you signed in last
- Account contact and password-related items — handled by Mindbody (we don't run our own email/password)
Why they get out of sync
When you sign in to Dance Alive, we read your email from Mindbody and remember it. If you later change your email in Mindbody only, our copy stays stale until you sign out and back in.
The symptom you'll notice: class confirmation emails arrive at your new address (Mindbody), but other reminders or admin items go to your old address (the Dance Alive cached copy).
How to fix it
Mindbody is the source of truth. Update there, then refresh us:
- Sign in to your Mindbody account and change your email to the address you want
- Sign out of Dance Alive (avatar dropdown → Sign Out)
- Sign back in — our copy refreshes from Mindbody
After step 3, both systems use the same email.
Important
Don't try to fix this from the Dance Alive side. We don't expose an email-edit field, because Mindbody is authoritative. If you change Mindbody but the Dance Alive side never refreshes, contact us and we'll sort it out — but it's almost always a sign-out-and-back-in away.
